The Bar Council of India (BCI) has officially confirmed the schedule for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XXII, which is set to take place on November 29, 2026. This national-level examination, which serves as a mandatory assessment for law graduates, will be conducted in a traditional pen-and-paper, offline format across designated test centres.
Candidates who have successfully completed their registration for the upcoming session are advised to prepare for the examination day by reviewing the official timings and documentation requirements. The BCI has outlined a structured timeline to ensure the smooth conduct of the assessment, starting with the release of hall tickets in mid-November.
The examination process will officially commence with the release of the AIBE 22 admit cards on November 14, 2026. Once available, candidates will be able to access and download their hall tickets directly from the official website, allindiabarexamination.com. It is mandatory for all test-takers to carry a printed copy of this admit card along with a valid government-issued photo identity proof to gain entry into the examination hall.
On the day of the exam, the reporting process is scheduled to begin at 11:30 AM. The examination itself will run for a duration of three hours, starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 4:00 PM. The BCI has implemented a strict gate-closing policy, with entry points shutting at 1:15 PM. Candidates arriving after this time will not be permitted to enter the examination centre under any circumstances. Furthermore, while the standard duration is three hours, candidates falling under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category may be eligible for compensatory time in accordance with the established examination guidelines.
To ensure a seamless entry and verification process, candidates are encouraged to arrive at their allotted centres well in advance of the reporting deadline. Beyond the mandatory admit card and photo ID, students should bring a blue or black ballpoint pen for marking their responses. The use of a transparent water bottle is also permitted, provided it complies with the specific instructions outlined on the admit card.
The registration window for this session opened on August 19, 2026, and concluded on October 27, 2026. As the examination date approaches, candidates are strongly advised to thoroughly read all instructions printed on their admit cards to avoid any last-minute complications. The BCI continues to oversee the administrative requirements for the AIBE, ensuring that all participants are adequately prepared for the assessment procedures.
