The registration window for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2027 is approaching its final phase, with the official deadline set for December 6, 2026. Prospective candidates who intend to pursue management studies at XLRI Jamshedpur or any of the more than 700 B-schools across India that accept XAT scores are advised to complete their applications promptly to avoid last-minute technical issues.

The examination is scheduled to be held on January 3, 2027, in a computer-based test format. With the exam being conducted in over 100 cities nationwide, officials have implemented a first-come, first-served policy for test city allotment. Consequently, applicants are encouraged to submit their forms early to secure their preferred examination center from the four options they are required to select during the registration process.

Application Process and Fee Details

To participate in XAT 2027, candidates must navigate to the official website at xatonline.in. The application process is entirely online and requires the payment of an examination fee of INR 2300. It is important to note that the registration will only be considered complete once the payment has been successfully processed through the available debit card, credit card, or net banking options.

The registration procedure begins by clicking the registration link on the homepage, where candidates must provide essential information including their name, date of birth, email address, phone number, nationality, and state of residence. Upon entering these details, a login will be created, and the candidate must verify their account using an OTP sent via email or SMS. Once verified, applicants can access their candidate dashboard to input their academic and personal information, upload a recent passport-sized photograph and a scanned signature, and select their preferred test cities and optional XLRI campus preferences.

Important Considerations for Applicants

Candidates should ensure all information provided in the application form is accurate before final submission. As the test city allotment is based on the timing of the application, early registration is the most effective way to improve the likelihood of being assigned a center of the candidate's first choice. The XAT 2027 score remains a critical gateway for admission into prestigious institutions, including XIM University, MICA Ahmedabad, IRMA, and IMT Ghaziabad, among others.
