The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially launched the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027. Prospective students seeking admission into undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes at participating National Law Universities across the country are now invited to submit their applications through the official portal.
The application window opened on August 3, 2026, and will remain active until October 31, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete their submissions by 11:59 PM on the final date to ensure their eligibility for the upcoming entrance examination, which is scheduled to be held on December 6, 2026.
To participate in the examination, candidates must visit the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The registration process requires applicants to create an account using a valid mobile number and email address, which will be used for all future communications and login purposes. Once registered, candidates must proceed to fill in their personal, academic, and category-specific details.
Accuracy is paramount during the data entry phase, as errors may lead to the rejection of the application. Applicants are required to upload necessary documentation, including a recent photograph, a scanned signature, and any relevant category certificates. Following the completion of the form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee. Payments can be processed securely through the online portal using a debit card, credit card, or net banking facilities.
Before initiating the application, students should thoroughly review the eligibility criteria to ensure they meet the requirements for their respective law programmes. It is essential to verify that all uploaded documents are clear and meet the specified formatting guidelines provided by the Consortium. By adhering to these steps and submitting the application well before the October 31 deadline, candidates can avoid last-minute technical issues and ensure their candidacy for the CLAT 2027 examination is processed successfully.
