CMAT 2027: NTA Expected to Release Registration Schedule in October

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the official notification and registration schedule for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2027 during the first or second week of October 2026. This announcement will mark the commencement of the application process for thousands of MBA aspirants across the country who are preparing for the upcoming entrance cycle.

Once the notification is live, candidates will be able to access the official registration portal on the dedicated CMAT-NTA website. The NTA has already confirmed the examination date for 2027, and the forthcoming notification is set to provide comprehensive details regarding the application timeline, eligibility criteria, and other essential event schedules for prospective students.

CMAT 2027 Exam Structure and Participation

The CMAT serves as a critical gateway for admission into management programs, with scores accepted by over 1,300 government, government-aided, and private MBA institutions across India. Historically, the examination attracts between 50,000 and 75,000 candidates annually, reflecting its significance in the national management education landscape.

The examination is conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format across more than 120 cities nationwide. To accommodate the large volume of applicants, the test is held in two distinct shifts. The question paper is designed to evaluate candidates across five core sections: Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Each of these five sections consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, contributing to a total of 100 questions and a maximum score of 400 marks.
