In a move designed to provide greater flexibility for applicants, the institution has structured the entrance exam across eight distinct dates throughout December 2026. This remote-proctored online assessment allows candidates to select their preferred test date and time slot during the application process.

The testing window is spread across four consecutive weekends, beginning on December 5 and concluding on December 27, 2026. To streamline the admissions process, IBS has implemented a rapid result notification system. Candidates can expect their examination results, along with information regarding scholarship allotments, to be published on the Monday immediately following their specific weekend test cycle.

IBSAT 2026 Examination Timeline and Deadlines

The examination is divided into eight test sessions, each with a corresponding application deadline. For the first two tests held on December 5 and December 6, 2026, the application deadline is December 1, 2026, with results expected on December 7. The third and fourth tests, scheduled for December 12 and 13, require applications to be submitted by December 8, with results following on December 14.

The final two weekends of the month follow a similar pattern. Tests five and six, taking place on December 19 and 20, have an application deadline of December 15 and a result date of December 21. The final sessions, held on December 26 and 27, require candidates to apply by December 22, with the final results scheduled for release on December 28, 2026. Prospective students are encouraged to complete their applications promptly to secure their preferred testing slots.

Scholarships and Alternative Admission Channels

Beyond the IBSAT, the institution offers a scholarship fund totaling Rs 10 Crore for eligible candidates. This financial support is available not only to those taking the IBSAT but also to applicants who qualify through other national-level management entrance examinations, including CAT, NMAT by GMAC, XAT, or GMAT. Students utilizing these alternative scores may submit their official scorecards for consideration.

For those applying through these national test channels, official decisions regarding scholarship grants are scheduled to be announced in January 2027. Following the announcement of results, successful candidates will proceed to the subsequent stages of the admission process. Applicants are advised to verify all personal details, including their name, roll number, and registration information, upon the release of their scorecards to ensure accuracy.
