The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi had organized the ‘Ideas Matter Most’ talk show to explore the potential of human-AI collaboration. The event had been attended by students, professionals, faculty members, experts, and leaders who had shared their insights on the future of human-AI partnerships.
The talk show had provided a platform for participants to interact with speakers, pose questions, and network with fellow innovators.
Lakshmidhar Behera, the director of IIT Mandi and an expert on AI, had discussed both the opportunities and challenges associated with human-AI collaboration. As one of India’s leading AI researchers, he had also traced AI’s evolution over the past 25-30 years. He had remarked that AI had experienced multiple phases of stagnation, commonly referred to as 'AI winters,' but each time, advancements in efficient computing had led to its resurgence.
Pranav Kumar, the founder of the ‘Ideas Matter Most’ talk show, had expressed his vision of making the platform global. He had stated that the initiative aimed to serve as a catalyst for meaningful discussions and connections among thinkers, innovators, and entrepreneurs worldwide. He had further emphasized his goal of building a global community that fosters collaboration, innovation, and impactful exchanges.
The event had also featured Gokul Butail, a cabinet-rank official and principal advisor to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, as the guest of honor. He had shared his perspective on technology and AI, highlighting the initiatives undertaken by the Himachal Pradesh government to leverage technology for the state’s development. Additionally, he had reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering growth, innovation, and inclusion through the use of AI and technological advancements.
Other notable speakers at the event had included L. Venkata Subramaniam, IBM Quantum India Leader at IBM; Suvrokamal Dutta, an internationally recognized conservative political, economic, and foreign policy expert; Kanishk Agrawal, CTO of Judge Group India and a member of the Forbes Technology Council; Mohan Raghavan, associate professor at IIT Hyderabad; Amit Kumar Pandey, CTO of Robotics and AI in France; and Shreystha Beppari, a senior psychologist at Apollo Clinics, among others.
