VIT Bhopal Launches International Master’s in Cybersecurity Management with Italy’s POLIMI GSoM

VIT Bhopal University has officially commenced the application process for its newly introduced International Master’s in Cybersecurity Management. This specialized program is being offered in collaboration with the POLIMI Graduate School of Management (GSoM) based in Milan, Italy, aiming to provide students with a blend of technical expertise and strategic business management skills.

The curriculum is structured around a unique 12-month study model, divided into two distinct six-month phases. During the first half of the program, students will be based at the VIT Bhopal campus to focus on the technical foundations of cybersecurity. The second half of the course will take place at POLIMI GSoM in Milan, where the curriculum shifts toward business strategy, governance, and management applications.

Program Structure and Eligibility Requirements

The primary objective of this joint initiative is to equip graduates with the professional capabilities required to navigate the complex landscape of cyber risk management, digital innovation, and strategic decision-making. Throughout the year, students will engage with topics such as digital forensics, penetration testing, software vulnerability assessment, and regulatory compliance. The program also includes a mandatory internship or a live company project to ensure students gain practical, hands-on experience in the field.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded a Master’s Diploma from both VIT Bhopal and POLIMI GSoM, as well as a 1st Level University Specialising Master’s Degree from Politecnico di Milano. Dr. Ajay Kumar Phulre, Assistant Professor at VIT Bhopal, noted that the partnership is designed to provide students with exposure to global pedagogical methods and industry networks.

Eligibility for the program is open to graduates and final-year students from engineering, computer science, and information technology backgrounds. Individuals holding a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or IT, or those from other relevant disciplines, are also eligible to apply.
