Karnataka Board Releases Tentative 2027 SSLC and 2nd PUC Exam Schedules

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially released the tentative examination schedule for the 2027 SSLC and 2nd PUC academic sessions. The announcement, made on October 8, 2026, includes the proposed dates for both Exam 1 and Exam 2, providing students and educators with an early look at the upcoming assessment calendar.

According to the notification, the 2nd PUC Exam 1 is scheduled to commence on February 27, 2027, and will conclude on March 17, 2027. For SSLC students, Exam 1 is slated to begin on March 22, 2027, ending on April 5, 2027. The board has also outlined the timeline for Exam 2, with 2nd PUC assessments running from May 3 to May 15, and SSLC exams taking place between May 24 and May 31, 2027.

Objection Process and Exam Guidelines

The KSEAB has invited students, parents, and the general public to review the tentative time tables and submit any objections or suggestions they may have. The window for filing these objections opened on October 8 and will remain active until October 22, 2026. The board has clarified that no objections will be entertained after this deadline.

To facilitate this process, the board has provided specific email addresses for feedback: objections regarding the SSLC schedule should be directed to dpikseab@gmail.com, while concerns related to the 2nd PUC time table should be sent to directorpuekseab@gmail.com. Furthermore, the board has instructed all high school head teachers and PU college principals to display the tentative time tables on their respective institutional notice boards to ensure widespread awareness among the student body.

Examination Timing and Structure

The board has maintained a consistent structure for the examination timings. Most 2nd PUC papers are scheduled to be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. For SSLC students, papers for the first language, core subjects, and JTS subjects are set for 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM, a duration that includes a 15-minute period specifically allocated for reading the question paper. SSLC second and third language examinations are scheduled to conclude at 1:00 PM.

The published schedule accounts for specific holidays, with no examinations planned for March 6, 2027, in observance of Shivarathri, or March 10, 2027, for Ramzan. Sundays are also designated as non-examination days.
