The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has officially commenced the registration process for the Extended Institute Level Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round for the 3-Year LLB programme for the 2026 academic session. This round serves as a final opportunity for prospective law students to secure admission into various law colleges across the state.
Candidates who are interested in participating in this round are required to visit the official portal at llb3cap26.mahacet.org to complete their registrations and submit their college preferences. The window for both registration and the filling of college option forms opened today, October 8, and will remain active until October 9, 2026.
The State CET Cell has emphasised that this is a time-sensitive phase of the admission process. During this two-day window, applicants are permitted to edit or correct details within their application forms if necessary. Furthermore, the submission of fresh college choices is mandatory for all participants; students who fail to provide these preferences during this specific period will not be included in the subsequent merit list.
Following the conclusion of the registration and option-filling phase, the participating law colleges are scheduled to generate the merit list on October 10, 2026. Candidates are advised to monitor the official website closely on that day to verify their status. Those who are selected for admission must complete the reporting process at their respective allotted colleges between October 10 and October 12, 2026.
To ensure a smooth registration experience, the CET Cell recommends that candidates have all necessary documentation prepared in advance. This includes the MH CET Law 2026 scorecard, graduation mark sheets, and valid identity proof. In instances where applicable, candidates must also have their category certificates ready for verification. All documents should be scanned and saved in the required formats as specified by the portal guidelines.
The current admission cycle is part of the broader effort by the Maharashtra State CET Cell to streamline the placement of students into legal education institutions. By providing this extended round, the authorities aim to fill remaining seats and offer candidates a final chance to secure a spot for the current academic year. Applicants are encouraged to complete their submissions promptly to avoid any last-minute technical issues on the portal.
