The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has officially commenced the choice filling process for the third round of the NEET UG 2026 counselling session. Eligible candidates seeking admission into MBBS and BDS programmes across the state can now log in to the official portal to register their college preferences.
This phase of the counselling process is a critical step for students aiming to secure a seat in medical and dental colleges throughout Maharashtra. The window for submitting these choices opened on October 7 and will remain active for a limited period, concluding on October 9, 2026. Participants are encouraged to complete their submissions well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical complications.
Following the conclusion of the choice filling process, the State CET Cell will process the preferences submitted by the candidates to determine seat allocations. The official seat allotment result for the third round is scheduled to be released on October 11, 2026. Once the results are published, students will be able to verify their status by checking for their specific roll number or registration number on the official website.
Candidates who are successfully allotted a seat during this round are required to complete the physical reporting process at their designated institutions. This mandatory step, which includes the verification of original documents, must be completed between October 11 and October 14, 2026. Failure to report to the allotted college within this timeframe may result in the forfeiture of the seat.
To participate in the round 3 choice filling, candidates must visit the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. Upon navigating to the Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2026 section, applicants are required to log in using their registered application number and password. Once logged in, candidates can view the available list of colleges and courses, select their preferred options, and lock their choices to finalise the submission. It is highly recommended that students download and retain a copy of the confirmation page for their personal records.
For those who receive an offer, the next step is to report to the allotted institute to accept the admission. Alternatively, candidates who wish to explore further opportunities may choose to participate in subsequent rounds, provided they adhere to the official guidelines regarding the resignation of previously offered seats.
