The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially initiated the reporting and joining process for the second round of the NEET UG 2026 counselling. Following the release of the final seat allotment results on September 12, 2026, students who have been successfully allocated MBBS and BDS seats are now required to complete their admission procedures at their designated medical or dental institutions.

This phase is a critical step for candidates to secure their seats, as the window for reporting is strictly limited. According to the official schedule released by the MCC, the reporting period commenced on September 12 and will conclude on September 18, 2026. Failure to report to the allotted college within this timeframe may result in the forfeiture of the seat.

Steps for Admission and Required Documentation

To facilitate a smooth admission process, candidates must first visit the official MCC counselling portal to download their NEET UG Round 2 allotment letter. It is essential for students to thoroughly review the details provided in this document, including the name of the allotted college, the specific course, and their category status, to ensure all information is accurate before proceeding to the physical reporting stage.

Upon arriving at the allotted institution, candidates are required to undergo a document verification process. While specific requirements may vary by institution, students should arrive prepared with a comprehensive set of documents. These typically include the NEET UG 2026 admit card, the scorecard or result, the MCC-issued seat allotment letter, and academic certificates for Class 10 and Class 12. Additionally, candidates must carry a valid photo ID, recent passport-size photographs, and any relevant category, PwD, or NRI/OCI certificates if applicable. It is strongly advised that students consult the specific admission instructions provided by their allotted college prior to travel, as some institutions may request additional documentation.

Finalizing the Admission Formalities

Once the document verification is successfully completed, candidates must finalize the admission process by fulfilling the college’s specific requirements, which includes the payment of applicable tuition or admission fees. The MCC has also addressed administrative updates, recently releasing a list of 135 candidates whose category was provisionally converted from Indian to NRI status for this round.

As the September 18 deadline approaches, candidates are encouraged to complete their reporting formalities promptly to ensure their admission is confirmed. The MCC continues to oversee the process to ensure that all seat allocations are finalized in accordance with the established counselling schedule.
