The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has officially extended the deadlines for the Institutional Round (Round 4) of the MH CET Law 2026 counselling process. This update specifically concerns candidates applying for the 3-Year LLB programme who need to complete their choice filling or rectify errors in their previously submitted application forms.
According to the latest notification, the window for both form corrections and college option choice locking will remain open until October 9, 2026. This extension serves as a final opportunity for students to ensure their application details are accurate before the admission process proceeds to the next stage.
The decision to extend these dates follows specific directives issued by the High Court in Writ Petition (St.) No. 28549 of 2026. Furthermore, the CET Cell acknowledged a high volume of requests from students seeking additional time to manage their applications. The authority noted that many candidates had inadvertently entered incorrect information regarding their qualifying examination marks, including details from their HSC, graduation, or post-graduation records.
By providing this extended window, the CET Cell aims to prevent eligible students from losing their seats due to technical errors or data entry mistakes during the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Candidates are encouraged to use this period to verify their academic credentials and finalise their college preferences to avoid any further complications in their admission status.
The revision of the schedule for the 3-Year LLB Institutional Round is part of the CET Cell's broader effort to streamline the admission process for the 2026 academic session. With the deadline now set for October 9, 2026, applicants are advised to complete their necessary updates promptly. The CET Cell has emphasised that this is the final opportunity for candidates to edit their counselling forms for the current institutional round. Students should monitor the official portal for any further updates regarding the subsequent stages of the admission process following the closure of this window.
