The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has officially announced an extension for the NMAT 2026 registration window. Prospective candidates now have until October 25 to submit their applications, providing an additional two-week period beyond the original deadline of October 10.

This extension also applies to the exam scheduling process. Candidates who complete their registration are required to book their preferred test slots within the updated timeline. The NMAT 2026 examination is scheduled to take place within a testing window running from November 2 to December 20.

Registration and Scheduling Process

The application process for NMAT 2026 is structured as a two-step procedure. First, candidates must establish a GMAC account through the official website at mba.com. Once the account is created, they can proceed to fill out the formal application form. The scheduling link for the exam becomes active within the candidate's login portal immediately after the registration fee has been successfully processed.

During the application phase, candidates are permitted to select up to five business schools that accept NMAT scores. Should a candidate wish to include additional institutions beyond this initial selection, they will be required to pay an extra processing fee for each school. It is important for applicants to note that applying for the NMAT exam is distinct from applying to individual business schools; candidates must still complete separate MBA application forms for their preferred institutions.

Exam Details and Retake Policy

NMAT 2026 scores are accepted by more than 60 business schools across India, including prominent institutions such as NMIMS, KJ Somaiya, and TAPMI. The exam is designed to offer flexibility, allowing candidates to choose their preferred date within the designated testing window during the slot-booking process.

For those considering multiple attempts, the examination body provides a retake option. The registration window for a retake will become accessible to candidates only after they have completed their first attempt at the NMAT 2026 exam. All interested students are encouraged to complete their registration and finalize their exam scheduling on or before the new October 25 deadline to ensure their participation in the upcoming testing cycle.
