The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially commenced the registration process for the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 examinations. In a significant shift from previous years, the application procedure now incorporates a mandatory digital identity verification step. Candidates are required to authenticate their identity using government-backed digital platforms before they can proceed with their application forms.

This new requirement is designed to bolster the integrity of the examination process. By integrating these digital services, the NTA aims to minimize data entry errors, prevent the submission of fraudulent applications, and streamline the overall verification of academic credentials and personal information provided by students.

New Verification Protocols and Application Process

To successfully register for the upcoming session, applicants must now utilize one of three specified digital services: DigiLocker, MeriPehchan, or JanParichay. These platforms serve as the primary gateway for identity authentication. Once the verification process is complete, candidates can proceed to fill in their personal and academic details, upload the necessary supporting documentation, and complete the examination fee payment to finalize their submission.

The NTA has directed all prospective candidates to the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in to initiate their registration. Officials have emphasized that this digital-first approach is intended to simplify the documentation process for students while ensuring a more secure and reliable database for the national-level entrance exam.

Important Dates for JEE Main 2027 Session 1

The registration window for the first session of JEE Main 2027 is currently open, with the final deadline for submission set for November 22, 2026. Following the conclusion of the registration phase, the NTA has scheduled the Session 1 examinations to take place over several days in January 2027. The testing dates are confirmed for January 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2027.

Students are encouraged to complete their registration well in advance of the November deadline to avoid any last-minute technical issues. By ensuring that all identity verification steps are handled early, candidates can focus on their final preparations for the examination.
