The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) in Chennai has officially released the round 1 seat allotment results for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2026 counselling process. Candidates who participated in the choice filling and locking stages can now verify their provisional selection status for MBBS and BDS programs across the state.
The allotment results cover 85% of the state quota seats, encompassing both government and management quota allocations. The results have been published in a PDF format, allowing students to check if they have been provisionally selected for admission to their preferred medical or dental institutions.
Students can access the official seat allotment lists by visiting the official website at tnmedicalselection.net. The DMER has provided separate PDF documents for the government quota and the management quota, and candidates are advised to download the specific file relevant to their application category to confirm their status.
While the PDF lists provide the details of provisionally selected candidates, the official seat allotment order must be obtained through the candidate login portal. Students are required to use their registered credentials to access the portal and download their formal allotment letters, which are necessary for the subsequent stages of the admission process.
Following the announcement of the round 1 results on August 27, 2026, the authorities have set a clear timeline for the completion of admission formalities. Candidates who have been allotted a seat must report to their respective institutions to finalize their enrollment.
The deadline for completing the admission process at the allotted colleges is September 5, 2026. It is essential for all successful candidates to ensure they have their downloaded seat allotment orders and all required documentation ready before this date to secure their placement in the MBBS or BDS courses for the 2026 academic session.
