The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the results for the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination covering the subjects of English, Commerce, and Sociology in the near future. These specific papers were held on September 9 and 10, 2026, following a decision to conduct a re-test due to concerns raised regarding the initial examination process.
While the NTA has not yet provided a definitive date for the declaration of these results, industry expectations suggest they will be released during the second half of September 2026. The agency is currently in the process of finalizing the results after reviewing the feedback and challenges submitted by candidates regarding the provisional answer keys, which were available for review until September 13, 2026.
Once the results are officially uploaded, candidates will be able to retrieve their scorecards directly from the official NTA portal at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. To view their performance, students will need to log in using their application number and date of birth or password. The final results will be calculated based on the definitive answer key, which incorporates the valid objections raised by the test-takers during the challenge window.
Upon the announcement, the NTA will also release the category-wise and subject-wise cutoff marks. Candidates who meet or exceed these specified thresholds will be considered qualified for the purposes of Assistant Professor eligibility, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or PhD admissions, depending on their specific goals and the applicable criteria. Students are advised to monitor the official website regularly for the final notification regarding the result release.
