IIT Kanpur Hosts SATHEE Summit 2026 to Support Competitive Exam Aspirants

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur recently hosted the SATHEE Summit 2026, a significant initiative organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The event was designed to provide students with comprehensive guidance and access to digital resources for a wide array of competitive and entrance examinations, including JEE, NEET, CLAT, CUET, ICAR, IBPS, SSC, and RRB.

The summit brought together approximately 400 students and 22 school coordinators to engage with experts on effective study strategies, career planning, and mental well-being. By highlighting the SATHEE (Self-Assessment, Test and Help for Entrance Exams) portal, the event aimed to democratize access to high-quality preparation materials for students across the country.

Leveraging Digital Resources for Exam Success

A central focus of the summit was the introduction and demonstration of the SATHEE portal. Anurag Singh provided attendees with a detailed walkthrough of the platform, emphasizing that it is a completely free resource where students can register without any fees. The portal is designed to support aspirants by offering structured study materials, examination guidance, and self-assessment tools tailored for various government recruitment and academic entrance tests.

Prof. Amey Karkare, the Principal Investigator for SATHEE at IIT Kanpur, underscored the necessity of a disciplined approach to preparation. During his session, he highlighted the importance of consistency, effective study habits, and the development of a structured preparation plan, particularly for students aiming for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

Expert Guidance and Holistic Support

Recognizing the immense pressure associated with competitive exams, the summit also prioritized the mental health of students. Dr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Singh, Head of the Centre for Mental Health and Wellness at IIT Kanpur, led discussions on managing academic stress and maintaining psychological well-being throughout the rigorous preparation phase.

The event featured specialized sessions led by subject matter experts to address the unique requirements of different examinations. Dr. Navin Gude offered insights into NEET preparation, while banking examination strategies were discussed by Ravindra Singh. Furthermore, Ashutosh K. R. Pandey, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, shared his expertise on navigating the Civil Services Examination. The summit concluded with a practical session by Anurag Pandey, who encouraged students to adopt an application-oriented approach to their studies, ensuring that their learning remains both effective and relevant to the demands of their respective examinations.
