The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) is set to conclude the choice filling and locking process for the second round of NEET UG 2026 counselling today, September 14. Eligible candidates who have successfully completed the verification process are required to finalize their college preferences through the official WBMCC portal at wbmcc.nic.in/ug-medical-dental-counselling before the deadline expires.

To participate in this stage of the admission process, candidates must log in to the official website using their NEET UG roll number and password. The committee has advised students to arrange their preferred MBBS and BDS colleges in order of priority before locking their choices, as no further modifications will be permitted once the window closes today. The seat matrix for the second round is currently available for review within the UG Medical and Dental counselling section of the website to assist students in making informed decisions.

Seat Allotment and Admission Schedule

Following the conclusion of the choice-locking phase, the WBMCC will process the data to determine seat allocations. The official seat allotment results for the second round are scheduled to be published on September 15, 2026, after 6 PM. This announcement will clarify which candidates have secured a seat in their preferred medical or dental institutions across the state.

Candidates who are successfully allotted a seat in this round must proceed with the reporting and admission formalities. According to the official schedule released by the committee, the reporting window at the allotted institutes is set for September 16, 17, and 18, 2026. During these three days, students are expected to report to their respective colleges between 10 AM and 4 PM. For those allotted seats in private medical colleges, the admission process will be conducted directly at the concerned institution. It is mandatory for students to carry their original documents for physical verification and complete all necessary admission requirements within the specified timeframe.
