The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is set to conclude the registration process for the current phase of the UPESEAT 2026 examination today. Students aspiring to secure a seat in the university's B.Tech programmes are encouraged to finalise their applications through the official portal at upes.ac.in before the window closes.
The admission process is currently active for candidates seeking entry into various engineering disciplines. Following the successful submission of the application form and payment of the required fee, applicants are eligible to proceed with the slot booking process. This involves contacting the university's designated toll-free number to schedule their online examination.
To participate in the admission process, candidates must first ensure they meet the university's specified eligibility criteria. For general B.Tech programmes, applicants are required to have secured at least 50% marks in both their 10th and 12th-grade examinations, with a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics individually in their 12th-grade results. A higher threshold applies to the B.Tech Mathematics and Computing programme, which mandates a minimum of 70% marks in both 10th and 12th grades, as well as 70% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics individually.
The application procedure requires candidates to register, provide personal and academic details, indicate branch preferences, upload necessary documentation, and pay an application fee of Rs 1750. Once registered, students can book their preferred slots for the online test, which is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The examination itself is two hours long and consists of 125 questions distributed across four distinct sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English language comprehension.
UPES, a private university based in Dehradun, continues to conduct its admission process in multiple phases throughout the academic cycle. The university maintains a presence in various national rankings, including the NIRF 2025 rankings, where it placed 43rd in the engineering category. As the current registration phase draws to a close, applicants are reminded that the university operates on a phased admission schedule, with specific deadlines established for each period.
Candidates who have yet to complete their submission are advised to visit the official website immediately to ensure their application is processed. No further extensions have been announced, and timely completion of the registration and slot booking remains essential for those intending to appear for the upcoming online tests.
