Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, has officially announced the schedule for its second Institute Level Spot/ACAP round for first-year BTech admissions. The process is set to take place on September 13, 2026, aimed at filling 15 remaining vacancies across several engineering programmes.

The institute has published a detailed seat matrix and a set of mandatory instructions on its official website to guide prospective students through the admission process. Candidates are advised to review these requirements thoroughly before arriving at the campus to ensure they have the necessary documentation and financial instruments ready for the session.

Vacancy Details and Reporting Schedule

According to the latest vacancy report released by VJTI, the 15 available seats are distributed across five specific engineering branches. Textile Technology holds the highest number of vacancies with five seats, followed by Production Engineering with four. Other available spots include two seats each in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, and one seat each in Civil Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

The institute has clarified that any seats vacated by students who secure admission elsewhere will not be included in this specific round. Instead, those positions are expected to be addressed during the third spot round, which is tentatively scheduled for September 14, 2026.

To manage the influx of applicants, VJTI has implemented a staggered reporting schedule at the Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Auditorium based on merit numbers. Candidates ranked 1 to 1,000 are expected to report between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Those with merit numbers between 1,001 and 5,000 should arrive between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM, while candidates with a merit number of 5,001 and above are scheduled for the 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM slot.

Required Documentation and Admission Procedures

Applicants must arrive prepared with all essential documents to facilitate a smooth admission process. The required checklist includes the current admission letter in original form, candidate login credentials, and the registered mobile number used for OTP verification. For those unable to attend in person, an original signed authority letter is mandatory, and the designated representative must present a government-issued identity card.

Financial preparation is also critical for the day. Candidates are required to bring a Demand Draft made in favour of 'Director VJTI', payable at Mumbai, to cover the applicable admission fees. Additionally, fresh candidates must provide the acknowledgement receipt from the FC Scrutiny Centre along with their original certificates. The institute has also noted that a cancellation fee of ₹1,000 may apply, which must be settled through the online payment portal if necessary.
