VJTI Releases Provisional Merit List for 2026 BTech Spot Admissions

Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, has officially released the provisional merit list for its Institute-Level Spot Round for first-year BTech admissions for the 2026 academic session. The publication of this list marks a critical stage for students seeking admission to the prestigious institution following the conclusion of the Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds.

According to the official announcement, a total of 11,212 candidates have been deemed eligible to participate in the upcoming spot admission process. These candidates are now listed based on their inter-se merit, which will serve as the primary criterion for seat allocation during the offline counselling sessions scheduled to take place at the VJTI campus.

Understanding the Spot Admission Process and Seat Availability

The release of the merit list highlights the high level of competition for the limited number of seats remaining at the institute. VJTI has confirmed that there are 70 vacant seats available for this spot round. These vacancies are distributed across a variety of BTech disciplines, including Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Production Engineering (Sandwich), and Textile Technology.

It is important for candidates to note that inclusion in the provisional merit list does not serve as a guarantee of admission. The final seat allotment is strictly dependent on a candidate's specific merit position, their category, the branch preferences they hold, and the actual availability of seats at the precise moment they report for counselling. Candidates are advised to review their inter-se merit rank for both Maharashtra and All India (AI) seats to better understand their standing.

Counselling Schedule and Reporting Instructions

The Institute-Level Spot Round is set to be conducted in an offline format at the VJTI campus. The institution has scheduled these sessions for September 11, 12, and 13, 2026. All eligible candidates who have been called for the counselling process are required to report to the institute in person.

Participants must adhere strictly to the schedule and the specific instructions provided by VJTI to ensure their candidacy is processed correctly.
