WBCHSE Revises Higher Secondary Semester III Exam Schedule for 2027

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially announced a revision to the examination schedule for the Higher Secondary (HS) Semester III examinations for 2027. This adjustment has been necessitated by the upcoming bye-elections taking place across the state, prompting the council to shift specific dates to ensure the smooth conduct of the academic assessments.

According to the latest notification issued by the board, the examinations that were originally slated for October 5, 6, and 7 have been rescheduled. These papers will now be held on October 12, 13, and 14, respectively. Students are advised to take note of these changes to ensure they appear for their examinations on the correct dates.

Updated Examination Schedule and Guidelines

The revised timeline affects the final three days of the examination period. Specifically, the papers for Mathematics, Business Mathematics and Business Statistics, Basic Mathematics for Social Sciences, Agriculture, Journalism and Mass Communication, Sanskrit, Persian, and Arabic, which were set for October 5, will now take place on October 12. Similarly, the examinations for Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Sociology, and Fisheries and Aquaculture have been moved from October 6 to October 13. Finally, the papers for Biological Science, Political Science, and Costing and Taxation, originally scheduled for October 7, are now deferred to October 14.

The council has reiterated that the examination timings remain unchanged, with sessions scheduled to be held from 11 am to 12 pm. Students who have already collected their admit cards, which were released on August 27, are reminded that these documents remain valid for the rescheduled dates. It is mandatory for all candidates to carry their admit cards to their designated examination centres, along with a valid school identity proof, to gain entry into the examination hall.

Preparation and Exam Conduct

The WBCHSE Semester III examinations for 2027 are part of the broader HS assessment structure, which commenced with Semester I. As students prepare for these upcoming papers, the board encourages candidates to verify the full date sheet to avoid any confusion regarding the shift in the final week of the schedule. The council has maintained that all other examination protocols remain in effect as previously communicated.
