WBMCC Releases WB NEET 2026 Special Stray Round Seat Matrix and Opens Choice Filling

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has officially released the seat matrix for the special stray vacancy round for MBBS admissions and the fifth round of counselling for BDS courses. This development follows the completion of the registration and document verification phases, providing candidates with a clear overview of the remaining vacant seats across participating medical and dental institutions in the state.

Candidates who have been successfully verified are now eligible to participate in the online choice-filling and locking process. Important Dates and Choice Filling Procedures

According to the revised counselling schedule issued by the WBMCC, the window for online choice filling and locking is open from November 6 to November 7, 2026. Following the submission of preferences, the seat allotment results are scheduled to be declared on November 12, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats will be required to report for admission between November 13 and November 16, 2026, during the hours of 10 AM to 4 PM.

To access the seat matrix, candidates should visit the official WBMCC website at wbmcc.nic.in and navigate to the UG Medical and Dental Counselling section. The seat matrix PDF, which details college names, available seats, and quota information, can be downloaded from the latest notices or download section. Once the document is reviewed, candidates can proceed to the candidate registration and login portal to submit their choices.

To complete the choice-filling process, applicants must log in using their NEET UG 2026 roll number and password. Within the candidate dashboard, they can select their preferred MBBS or BDS colleges based on their eligibility. It is essential for candidates to arrange their selections in order of preference and review them thoroughly before locking, as the system does not permit any modifications once the choices have been officially locked.
