The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has officially released the final results for the Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2026. Candidates who participated in the second stage of the selection process can now access the final merit list through the institute's official website to verify their admission status.
The published results incorporate the combined scores from both the first and second stages of the examination. For those who were not selected, the institute may provide a separate mechanism for candidates to view their individual performance scores at a later stage. Successful applicants are now required to proceed with the mandatory seat acceptance process to secure their enrollment for the 2026 academic session.
Candidates whose names appear on the final merit list must complete the seat acceptance process to confirm their admission. This involves the payment of the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) via the designated online SB-Collect portal. The institute has set a firm deadline of November 19, 2026, for all payments to be processed.
The fee structure for seat confirmation is divided into two categories based on hostel requirements. Candidates opting for hostel accommodation are required to pay INR 35,919, while those not requiring hostel facilities must pay INR 30,963. Separate payment links have been provided on the official website to accommodate different applicant categories, including specific links for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and general applicants.
The institute has issued a clear directive regarding the consequences of missing the payment deadline. According to the official notification, any candidate who fails to remit the seat acceptance fee by the November 19 cutoff will forfeit their claim to the offered seat. Furthermore, such individuals will not be considered for any subsequent rounds of seat allocation that may occur for their respective courses.
Once a seat is forfeited due to non-payment, the institute will proceed to offer that position to the next eligible candidate on the merit list in accordance with institutional regulations. Candidates are advised to ensure their payments are completed well before the deadline to avoid any technical delays or loss of their admission offer.
