IIM Ahmedabad Kicks Off Summer Placements 2026 with Over 85 Roles in Cluster 1

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) has officially launched its summer placement season for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Class of 2028. The first cluster of the recruitment process, held on October 23, 2026, saw a strong start with more than 85 distinct roles offered to students across a variety of high-profile sectors.

The recruitment drive was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for both virtual and in-person participation from firms. This initial phase was organized into six specific cohorts, covering areas such as management, advisory, and operations consulting, as well as investment banking, financial advisory, and private equity.

Top Recruiters and International Opportunities

The first cluster attracted a prestigious roster of global firms. In the management and strategy consulting space, students received offers from industry leaders including McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company, Accenture Strategy, EY-Parthenon, Kearney, Oliver Wyman, and L.E.K. Consulting.

The financial sector also maintained a significant presence during the opening round. Major global investment banks and financial institutions, such as Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Barclays, Citibank, HSBC, and Standard Chartered Bank, actively recruited from the batch. Furthermore, the private equity and asset management cohort saw participation from firms like Blackstone, Ares Management, Gaja Capital, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, and Aquilon Capital.

Beyond domestic roles, the placement process highlighted several international career opportunities. Notable international positions were confirmed with EY-Parthenon in Singapore, alongside roles at Goldman Sachs and HSBC based in Hong Kong.

Upcoming Placement Schedule

Following the conclusion of the first cluster, the institute has outlined the timeline for the remainder of the summer placement season. The recruitment process is set to continue with the second cluster, which is scheduled for October 27, 2026. This will be followed by the third cluster, slated for October 30, 2026, as the institute works to facilitate placements for the remaining candidates in the PGP Class of 2028.
