The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has officially announced a revised schedule for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of the WB NEET UG 2026 counselling process. This update specifically concerns candidates seeking admission into MBBS courses, as well as those participating in the fifth round of BDS counselling.

According to the latest notification, the online choice-filling and locking process is set to begin on November 6, 2026, at 6 PM. Candidates who have successfully completed their registration, fee payment, and document verification are eligible to participate in this phase to select their preferred medical and dental colleges.

Revised Schedule and Key Deadlines

The WBMCC has outlined a structured timeline to ensure the smooth progression of the remaining admission process. Document verification at designated colleges is scheduled to conclude on November 6, 2026, with daily sessions running from 11 AM to 4 PM. Following this, the committee will publish the list of verified candidates and the seat matrix on November 6, 2026, after 5 PM.

Once the list is released, the window for online choice filling and locking will remain open until November 7, 2026, at 2 PM. The seat allotment results for the Special Stray Round for MBBS and the fifth round for BDS are scheduled to be declared on November 12, 2026, after 2 PM. Successful candidates will then be required to report to their allotted institutions for the final admission process, which is slated for November 13, 14, and 16, 2026, between 10 AM and 4 PM.

Steps for Choice Filling and Locking

Eligible candidates must access the official WBMCC website at wbmcc.nic.in to participate in the choice-filling process. Upon navigating to the UG Medical and Dental Counselling 2026 section, students should use their registered credentials to log in to the candidate dashboard. From there, they can select their preferred medical or dental colleges and courses based on their order of preference.

The committee has emphasized that only those who have completed all mandatory steps—including registration, fee payment, and document verification—and whose names appear on the final verified candidates' list will be permitted to lock their choices. Candidates are advised to monitor the official portal regularly for any further updates regarding the admission cycle.
