Odisha NEET UG 2026: Round 1 Reporting and Resignation Window Now Open

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has officially commenced the reporting process for candidates participating in the first round of the Odisha NEET UG 2026 counselling. Students who have been allotted seats in medical and dental colleges across the state are now required to complete their reporting formalities at their respective allotted institutions within the stipulated timeframe.

In addition to the commencement of reporting, the OJEE Committee has activated the online resignation window for the current round. This facility is intended for candidates who wish to withdraw from their allotted seats. The window for submitting such requests remains open from August 23, 2026, through August 30, 2026.

Guidelines for Seat Resignation and Fee Refunds

Candidates considering the withdrawal of their admission must adhere to the official timeline to be eligible for a partial refund of their deposited fees. According to the guidelines provided by the committee, students who resign from their allotted seat on or before the designated deadline of August 30, 2026, will be entitled to a refund of approximately 90 percent of the admission fee they have already submitted.

The remaining 10 percent of the deposited amount will be retained by the authorities as a processing fee. It is important for candidates to note that this resignation facility is time-bound. Once the specified deadline passes, the resignation window will close, and no further requests for withdrawal will be entertained by the authorities.

Important Considerations for Candidates

The OJEE Committee has issued a clear warning regarding the consequences of failing to adhere to the resignation schedule. If a candidate does not complete the formal resignation process within the provided timeframe, they will not be eligible for any fee refund. Furthermore, such candidates may be held liable for a financial penalty for failing to occupy the seat or follow the prescribed withdrawal procedure.

The current counselling cycle for NEET UG 2026 in Odisha follows the initial registration period, which took place between August 6 and August 10, 2026.
