The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the application correction window for the UGC NET December 2026 examination. Candidates who have already submitted their registration forms now have a limited timeframe to review their information and rectify any errors in their entries.
This facility is available exclusively through the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The window for making these updates opened on November 2 and will remain active until November 4, 2026, at 11:50 PM. Applicants are encouraged to complete any necessary modifications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
To access the correction facility, candidates must visit the official NTA portal and log in using their previously generated credentials. Once logged in, they can navigate to the application form section to make changes to the fields permitted by the testing agency. After finalizing the edits, it is essential to submit the updated form and download or save the revised confirmation page for future reference.
The NTA has specified that not all fields are open for modification. Candidates may edit details such as their name, father’s name, mother’s name, or address, provided they only change one of these specific fields. However, sensitive information such as the registered mobile number, email address, photograph, and signature cannot be altered through this window. Applicants should exercise caution and verify all entries thoroughly before final submission.
The UGC NET December 2026 examination is currently scheduled to take place over several days, specifically from December 14 to 18, and again on December 21, 2026. While the broad dates have been confirmed, the NTA is expected to release the detailed, subject-wise examination schedule at a later date.
Following the conclusion of the correction process, the next major milestone for candidates will be the release of the exam city intimation slip, which is slated for November 23, 2026. Subsequently, the official admit cards for the examination are scheduled to be issued on December 7, 2026. Candidates are advised to monitor the official website regularly for further updates regarding the examination process.
