West Bengal NEET UG 2026: Round 1 Reporting Process Commences for MBBS and BDS Admissions

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has officially commenced the reporting process for the first round of NEET UG 2026 counselling. Candidates who were allocated seats in MBBS and BDS programmes following the release of the seat allotment results on August 31, 2026, are now required to proceed with their institutional admissions.

This phase is critical for students to secure their allotted seats in government and private medical and dental colleges across the state. The reporting window is open from September 1, 2026, and will conclude on September 5, 2026. It is mandatory for all successful candidates to complete the verification of their credentials and the payment of admission fees within this specified timeframe to finalise their enrolment.

Document Verification and Admission Requirements

To ensure a smooth admission process, candidates must report to their assigned institutes with their original documents and a set of photocopies. The required documentation typically includes the NEET UG 2026 admit card, the official scorecard or rank card, and the Round 1 seat allotment letter, which must be downloaded from the official portal. Additionally, students should carry their WBMCC counselling registration slip, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, and a valid photo identity proof.

Depending on the candidate's specific category and status, additional documentation may be required, such as a West Bengal domicile certificate, category certificates for SC, ST, or OBC applicants, EWS certificates, and PwD certificates where applicable. Candidates are also advised to bring recent passport-sized photographs, a medical fitness certificate, and any specific bonds or undertakings mandated by the WBMCC or the respective allotted college. Failure to report to the designated institution by the September 5 deadline may result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat, in accordance with the established counselling regulations.

The admission procedure involves several key steps that candidates must follow to confirm their placement. After downloading the allotment letter, students must physically report to their allotted college for the verification of original documents. Following the successful validation of these records, candidates are required to pay the necessary admission fees to complete the formal registration process.
