While XLRI Jamshedpur administers the test, the scores are accepted by a wide network of over 800 management institutions across the country. Application Process and Institutional Selection

Unlike some other national-level management entrance exams, the XAT application form does not allow candidates to select multiple B-schools directly. Within the XAT form, applicants can only select the XLRI campuses located in Jamshedpur and the NCR region.

For all other participating institutions, candidates are required to fill out separate application forms directly through the websites of those specific colleges. Admission to these institutions remains contingent upon candidates meeting the individual cut-off percentiles established by each school. Historically, top-tier institutions such as XLRI Jamshedpur, XIMB Bhubaneswar, and SPJIMR Mumbai maintain competitive cut-off ranges, typically between the 80th and 95th percentiles, depending on the specific programme and institution requirements.
